News from our within membership is shared in this post. (This began in May, and we’ll add to it as the year marches on.)
On 10/15/18, Larry and Gina Hutchison sold Blue Mesa Escape (Gunnison) to Steve Ryan. Congratulations to both parties! We wish you all the best as you venture into your respective new chapters.
Blue Mesa Escape then became known as Blue Mesa Outpost. Steve’s “right hand” is his long time friend Kelly Taylor, and she’s now our primary contact in the office.
Welcome to Linda & Chris Cain of Gopher RV Park & Campgrounds, a property that is currently under development.

5/10/2018 Congratulations to Billy & Lainey Beyhan, who celebrated their 5th anniversary as owners of Dolores River Campground! They posted this picture from 5 years ago.
On 5/15/2018 Candace Hennigh sold Aspen Ridge RV Park to Cindi & Leonard Brown. We bid Candace a fond farewell as we welcome Cindy and Leonard!

5/23/2018 Congratulations to Emily and Paul St Ruth, who opened Kebler Corner in late May. They’ve been Associate Members with us through their search. They posted this pic on 5/23 saying, “The pass is open for the season and so are we – visit www.keblercorner.com for reservations starting this Friday.”

6/15/2018 Congratulations to Stan and Pat Stehwien, who promoted themselves into retirement in June when they sold Gunnison Lake RV Park & Cabins to Shawn and Wendy Rossman. They posted this picture saying, “Pat and Stan are turning ownership of Gunnison Lakeside over to Shawn and Wendy Rossman. We thank you all for support over the years and we treasure the friendships we have made. We are exited to see Shawn And Wendy take Gunnison Lakeside to the next level.”
Congratulations, also, to Shawn and Wendy Rossman as they launch this exciting new chapter! We look forward to meeting you and working with you.
Stan and Pat Stehwien have been dedicated and loyal supporters and volunteers of CCLOA for their nearly 20 years of owning Gunnison Lakeside RV Park & Cabins.
They have been a tremendous asset to Colorado outdoor hospitality industry, and more specifically to CCLOA. How many Board meetings did they sit through? How many hours did they spend scrutinizing treasury reports as we restructured? How many brainstorms have they sat through? Ouch! Don’t make them count! Just be very grateful they offered their skills, services, time and knowledge. We wouldn’t be who we are today without having had their ongoing support.
Belinda Daly, manager of Colorado Springs KOA, which is owned by Bruce Bryant, passed away July 8th. Mike Daly is now handling Belinda’s duties. We send our condolences to Mike, Bruce and the entire team.
